Words for World Peace in October 2011

In the wake of violent and tragic events which occur around the world on a frequent basis, there is an event of hope and peace that anyone can take part in.
Rev Noel Lockyer-Stevens, Administrator for Spirit of Peace and Interfaith Minister is undertaking a venture on 28th October 2011 to Nepal. He will be walking as close to the top of the world as he can; to the Mount Everest Base Camp and the trip will take 14 days. On arrival at the camp on 7th November he plans to say words for world peace to promote nonviolence in the world.
Spirit of Peace invites you to send your Words for Peace that you wish to have read when Noel reaches Everest Base Camp. These can be written onto a handkerchief or other piece of cloth and will be made into a prayer flag and left at the base camp. Or you can send words via email. For a postal address to send your flag to please contact Noel at admin@spiritofpeace.co.uk
Noel and CEO Jane Ozanne agree “The more loving thoughts and words we can put into the world, the more peace we can create”.
This is a great opportunity for you or for your school, workplace, group or place of worship to create unique words to be read aloud with the intention of creating more peace in the world.
********************************************
We also invite you to sponsor Noel on his trip as he plans to raise £5,000 for Spirit of Peace to continue its daily activities.
This can be done via the Spirit of Peace website http://spiritofpeace.co.uk/support/donations
Or you can donate via your mobile phone by text.
eg for a £10 donation send a message saying “SOFP35 £10” to this number 70070. The donation will be paid to Spirit of Peace and taken from your mobile phone account.
You can donate as much or as little as you feel you can afford, all donations are received with our thanks and blessings.
Your donations make a real difference to Spirit of Peace, we would not exist without you.
Spirit of Peace is very excited about Noel’s trip and grateful to him for carrying the heartfelt intention of so many with him. We wish Noel well on his trip and look forward to hearing from you with your words or dedication to world peace.
